Please note: This position is dependent upon receiving funds from the Canada Summer Jobs program. Successful candidate must be between the ages of 15 and 30 years, in order to be eligible for the program.
The successful candidate will work with our staff, being exposed to many areas of church ministry, resulting in opportunities to provide support and leadership in each area. The intern will spend approximately half their time working on a team to provide programming for children from our community, which will include planning and implementing a week long summer day camp. Other responsibilities may include planning and implementing events for youth or adults; participation in staff meetings and prayer opportunities; communication; creating online content; involvement in worship services; and building relationships with people new to the church. Due to COVID-19, the intern must be comfortable interacting with people online. Experience creating online content is an asset. The interests and skills of the intern will be taken into account in determining tasks. The intern will establish a mentoring relationship with one of our pastors.
The successful candidate will have completed high school as a minimum level of education.
