Q&A

Is there pre-registration?

Yes! Please register in the form above. We need this information to keep track of our capacity, to pre-screen, and also for contact tracing. Staff and volunteers also must register.

Can I register by phone?

While we recommend you register online if you can, we will have specific hours when you can register to attend the service by phone.

Call (416) 247 – 8701 on Tuesdays from 10am – 1pm or Thursdays from 1 – 4pm

Is there a limit to the number of people who can attend?

Yes there is. Registration will close once we reach that limit. We are permitted 30% capacity in each room open to the public.

Will the service be safe?

We will do everything we can to ensure our services are safe. We will enforce the City of Toronto’s guidelines for Public Worship. Seating will be 2m apart. Ushers will ensure you can enter and leave the building while physical distancing. We will disinfect high-touch surfaces in the church before the service.

What about my kids?

Young children are invited to stay with their parents throughout the service. We will have safe areas designed for young families to enjoy.  Please bring some favourite things to help your child enjoy the morning, such as quiet toys, books, crayons and colouring pages.  We will also provide activity sheets for each child.

What if I'm not ready to come to service?

That’s fine! You can continue to watch our live services here: richviewchurch.online.church

There is also a phone-in option for those without internet. Sign up to our e-bulletin for all the details.

Are masks mandatory for everyone?

According to the City of Toronto by-laws, everyone must wear a mask in indoor areas open to the public.

There are some rare exceptions to this rule. For instance, infants are not required to wear a mask. Please check the City of Toronto Bylaw to ensure you are compliant.

Will there be singing?

Though attendees will enjoy hearing the music, Toronto Public Health has prohibited singing in indoor spaces open to the public. Humming is encouraged!

Will the Link Door be open?

The Link Doors will be closed. People in Richview Residence are encouraged to use our main entrance.

What happens if someone gets Covid-19 at one of your services?

We will contact everyone who attended that service and let them know. We will do a deep clean of the church, and services will not be open to the public for at least two Sundays.

What if there is a rise in Covid-19 cases in Toronto?

Richview will be responsive to what is happening in Toronto. If we deem it unsafe to have open services, we will go back to live-streaming only.

What happens if someone is not compliant with the guidelines?

People who refuse to be compliant with restrictions and guidelines, including mask wearing, will not be permitted in the church.
