Hey church,
This past Sunday after service, I held a teaching that was meant to respond to the book “The Believer’s Authority.” Many of you attended! The Activity Room was packed! I was grateful for the level of interest and support in these important matters. But some of you weren’t able to come, and might have benefitted from it.
Although this is no replacement for being there in person, the powerpoint for the teaching is attached to this post. I’ve also included some of my specific responses to Andrew Wommack’s use of Scripture. During the lesson, I provided a few examples, but there are plenty more that are worthy of comment, some of which are in this document. Here are the two documents:

For those of you who came to the teaching, I hope you saw that our posture towards those who are taken in by this book and its teachings is one of gentleness with a desire for restoration. Please be in prayer for relationships to be restored through repentance and reconciliation. We pray for God’s blessing on their lives in every way.
I hope you also saw the degree of scrutiny we should have for books, podcasts, sermons, articles, or people who claim to speak the Word of God.
May God continue to strengthen and unify His church in the truth.
